Patent Agents and Technical Specialists

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun provides alternative career paths for individuals with strong technical backgrounds but no law degree.  Individuals with advanced degrees in science or engineering or exceptional industry experience are considered for positions as technical specialists or patent agents.  Qualified candidates preferably should have an advanced degree or other specialized training in the fields of biotechnology, chemistry, computer science or electrical engineering.

At Marshall, Gerstein & Borun, patent agents and technical specialists primarily draft and prosecute patent applications.  Previous patent experience is not necessary because patent agents and technical specialists receive intensive training in patent prosecution and will work closely with patent attorneys.
