Marshall Gerstein and Three Partners Ranked Among World’s Top Trademark Firms and Practitioners

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP and three of its Trademark partners have been recognized in the 2017 edition of the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000. This marks the seventh time that the Firm and its partners have been recognized by the prestigious guide. This year’s honorees include:

WTR 1000 describes the Firm as continuing to “up the ante with its trademark practice; year on year it gathers increasing numbers of megabrands under its wing. It is particularly attuned to cutting-edge technology and pharmaceutical-related matters.” WTR 1000 credits partner Gregory Chinlund as an “analytical all-rounder whose lateral thinking makes him a go-to for international brand protection.” The Firm’s “invaluable partner” Maureen Beacom Gorman works with thethriving online disputes practice.” According to WTR 1000, “she is thorough and tactical in her protection of valuable assets and possesses expertise in all areas of trademark law. On top of her digital know-how, the contentious maven is adept at subduing counterfeiters.” WTR 1000 describes partner Richard LaBarge, as having “across-the-board knowledge” and notes that he “recently succeeded in the notoriously difficult task of registering a single overall product colour as a mark.” It also notes that in early 2016, he also took responsibility for one of the world’s leading consumer brands.
