Cox and Read to Instruct at the AUTM Business Development Course on Medical Devices
Pamela L. Cox and David C. Read will teach at the first Business Development Course sponsored by the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). The Course will be held on November 12–13, 2014 at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare, and will focus on the medical device industry.
Ms. Cox, along with the other members of AUTM's Business Development Curriculum Committee, have selected faculty with a deep understanding of their topics. The course will provide participants with detailed insights into the medical device market, regulatory process and the issues technology transfer professionals encounter when licensing to the medical device industry. It is the first in a series of AUTM business development courses funded by the Walter H. Coulter Foundation designed to provide in-depth education on specific industry sectors.
Pamela Cox, chair of Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP's IP Transactions practice, concentrates on counseling related to intellectual property transactions, protection and transfer for clients ranging from multinational corporations to non-profit institutions.
