Tom Duston to Present at PLI Patent Litigation Program 2015 – Chicago

October 9, 2015
Chicago, IL

IP Litigation partner Thomas L. Duston will present "NPEs – The Special Issues Arising from Disputes with NPEs," at Practising Law Institute (PLI)’s 2015 Patent Litigation Program, held October 8-9, 2015 at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center. Mr. Duston will speak on Friday, October 9 at 11:15 a.m.

The majority of IP infringement and litigation suits are brought by non-practicing entities (NPEs). Unfortunately, there is no "one size fits all" strategy for dealing with them, so IP leaders must develop a coherent understanding of when to fight and when to settle. In his presentation, Mr. Duston will examine strategies to confront the unique challenges presented by these formidable entities.
