Drawing on his electrical engineering background and his working knowledge of validity, infringement, and patentability analysis, Mr. McKearin prepares and prosecutes patent applications and manages patent portfolios. Previously, Mr. McKearin worked at a global intellectual property services firm, where he performed searches encompassing freedom to operate, patentability, and validity searches. He also prepared numerous written opinions of the international search authority for PCT international patent applications related to novelty, inventive step and industrial applicability.
Mr. McKearin received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a concentration in analog and digital communications.
