Michael F. Borun (Ret.) established the Firm’s biotechnology practice and has been recognized by his peers as a leader in biotechnology patent prosecution. Through his collaborative efforts with clients and colleagues, he helped define the art area that has become biotechnology. He has been selected by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s Leading Lawyer Network as a “Leading Lawyer” and serves on its Advisory Board.
Mr. Borun was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1970 after receiving his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He received his B.S. in biological sciences from The University of Chicago in 1964. Mr. Borun was admitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1970.
