Michael P. Motyka joined Marshall, Gerstein & Borun as Executive Director in 2015, bringing more than 15 years of mid-size and large law firm leadership experience to his position and the Firm. His graduate education and background provide experience and knowledge in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, and overseeing organizational finances, operations and risk management.

Background and Credentials

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Motyka was the Chief Operating Officer at a mid-size Chicago law firm, and held management positions at several AmLaw 100 law firms. He earned his MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with concentrations in Finance, Accounting, Strategy, Organizational Development and Marketing. Before that, he was a graduate student in Finance and International Relations at the University of Chicago, and earned his BA, with distinction, at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
