Donald W. Rupert's article, “Trolling for Dollars – Part 2,” is a follow-up to his recent article “Trolling for Dollars: A New Threat to Patent Owners,” where he summarized the key elements of the false marking and patent marking statutes and discussed a number of pending lawsuits that have been filed by individuals seeking monetary recovery under the false marking statute.  “Trolling for Dollars – Part 2” summarizes four additional pending lawsuits and discusses the need for companies to have procedures in place to ensure that their products are actually covered by the patents.  A copy of the article can be found below.
