MGB Elects Greg Stanton To Partnership

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun is pleased to announce that Gregory E. Stanton has been elected to partner, effective January 1, 2007.  Stanton’s practice is focused on patent procurement and patent litigation in the electrical, software and mechanical arts, as well as providing counsel on patentability, patent validity, patent infringement and other intellectual property matters.

With a background in electrical engineering, Stanton has experience in a wide variety of technologies, including digital and analog circuits, signal and image processing systems, communication systems, control systems, microprocessor design, semiconductor fabrication, software, medical devices and business methods.  Before attending law school, he worked at Zenith Electronics Corp., Motorola, and U.S. Robotics designing analog circuits, digital circuits and software related to signal processing and communication systems. 

Stanton received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1999.  He received his M.S. in electrical engineering and his B.S. in electrical engineering, with highest honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Stanton is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is licensed in Illinois and California.
