Supreme Court Patent Law Decision in KSR v. Teleflex
July 30, 2007The Supreme Court unanimously decided April 30 in KSR International, Co. v. Teleflex, Inc., et al., that the U.S. Supreme Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit needs to apply a less rigid approach when determining an important aspect of patent validity – obviousness.
On May 18, MGB Partner Brad Lyerla participated as a panelist in a discussion of the Supreme Court's decision in KSR v. Teleflex. The discussion was sponsored by the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago and hosted by the John Marshall Law School (JMLS). The proceedings are being published by the JMLS “Review of Intellectual Property Law” and a related article published in the Chicago Lawyer.
