Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP, an intellectual property law firm, has appointed special counsel Meggan F. Duffy as the firm’s Director of Professional Development. Duffy will ensure associates on the partnership track receive the training and skills necessary to achieve partnership and implement other firmwide professional development initiatives.

In her practice, Duffy focuses on patent prosecution and opinions and counseling, primarily in the mechanical and electromechanical areas. She also teaches Patent Law at DePaul University College of Law and is Co-Director of its LL.M. Program in Intellectual Property Law.
Duffy is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago and Chair of the Externs/Interns committee of the Chicago Intellectual Property Alliance. Duffy received her J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law (1998) and her B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1995).
