Richard B. Hoffman Shifts to Special Counsel with Marshall, Gerstein & Borun

Effective July 1, 2012, Richard B. Hoffman altered his status from partner to special counsel within Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP. As special counsel, he will continue to be actively involved with and handle matters for the Firm’s clients.

Mr. Hoffman is widely regarded for his experience in U.S. and international intellectual property law. During his more than 38 years of practice, including 12 years as a partner at Marshall Gerstein, he has worked on a diverse range of IP matters across various industries and technologies, including beverage bottling machinery, gravity-fed shelving, horticultural seed production processes, and insurance and financial services. Pursuing his personal interest, Mr. Hoffman gained extensive knowledge in ongoing developments in renewable energy and clean-technology fields and was instrumental in organizing the Firm’s Cleantech and Renewables industry practice.
