Hartzell to Present on Ethical Issues in Patent Litigation at PLI’s Patent Litigation 2013 Seminar

October 10, 2013

Chicago, IL

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP partner Julianne M. Hartzell will co-present a session on ethical issues in patent litigation during the Practicing Law Institute (PLI)’s Patent Litigation 2013 Seminar. The session will be held at 4:00 p.m. CST on October 10th at the University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center in downtown Chicago.

Ms. Hartzell and Brent A. Hawkins, partner at McDermott Will & Emory, will cover the ethical issues that in-house and outside counsel face in every step of the patent litigation process. They will discuss the sometimes fuzzy boundary between ethical transgression and zealous advocacy, as well as the USPTO ethical rules that apply to practitioners licensed by the USPTO even when practicing in another forum.
