Marshall, Gerstein & Borun Announces New Associates and Technical Specialist

A Chicago-based intellectual property law firm, Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP has added two new associates and a technical specialist. The Firm is pleased to welcome associates, Sarah J. Kalemeris and Mark R. Schwarz, and technical specialist, Rajendra (Raj) A. Chiplunkar.
Sarah J. Kalemeris graduated with her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. She has also conducted important research in collaboration with engineers from the Institute for Space and Defense Electronics (ISDE) on projects funded by the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Ms. Kalemeris joins the Firm’s patent prosecution and IP litigation practice areas in the electrical and software engineering field.
Mark R. Schwarz earned his J.D. from Washington University School of Law. He joins Marshall, Gerstein & Borun’s patent prosecution and IP litigation practices within its electrical and software engineering industry area. His prior experience includes developing real-time, embedded avionics software at The Boeing Company. He has also preformed graduate-level signal and image processing work at University of Michigan.
Technical specialist, Rajendra (Raj) A. Chiplunkar, assists in prosecuting patents in a variety of industries specifically related to electrical and software engineering. Prior to joining the Firm, he worked as a senior staff engineer for 10 years at Motorola, Inc. Chiplunkar holds a B.S. in Electronics Engineering from the Walchand Institute of Technology, Shivaji University, India.
