Pamela L. Cox Receives Outstanding Service Award from LESI

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP partner Pamela L. Cox was honored by Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) for her outstanding years of leadership and service as Chair of LESI Life Sciences Committee. The award was presented by James R. Sobieraj, President of LESI, in Beijing, China, during the organization’s 2016 Annual Conference. In addition to providing course instruction for LES, Ms. Cox serves as an International Delegate for the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada) and previously served as Chair of the Chicago Chapter of LES.

Ms. Cox, Chair of the Firm’s IP Transactions practice, concentrates on counseling related to intellectual property transactions, protection, and transfer for clients ranging from multinational corporations to non-profit institutions. As a patent attorney who has managed intellectual property portfolios in-house, Ms. Cox understands her clients’ intellectual property and agreement needs, and remains passionately engaged until achieving their strategic objectives. Clients find her talented at unraveling complex deal structures and devising creative agreement solutions as a seamless member of their team.

Ms. Cox was selected to the 2016 edition of Managing Intellectual Property’s IP Stars list of the Top 250 Women in IP, which the publication describes as the definitive guide to the world’s leading female IP practitioners. She is "highly recommended" for licensing and is honored as one of "The World’s Leading IP Patent and Technology Licensing Lawyers" by Intellectual Asset Management. Ms. Cox is also recognized as a "Life Sciences Star" by LMG Life Sciences, a “Woman Worth Watching” in Profiles in Diversity Journal, and an "IP Star" in the World IP Handbook and Survey.

LESI is an association of 33 national and regional Member Societies comprised of men and women who have an interest in the transfer of technology or licensing of intellectual property rights—from technical know-how and patented inventions to software, copyright and trademarks.
