Cox and Gerstein to Speak on ADR at AUTM 2012 Annual Meeting

Pamela Cox and Robert Gerstein will each present a 90-minute program with other distinguished panelists on the following topics:

“Mock Mediation: Time and Cost-Effective Approaches to Resolving Technology Transfer Disputes” Partner and chair of IP Transactions, Pamela L. Cox, will represent John Ritter from Princeton University, who is playing the role of the university representative in a mock mediation to resolve a license dispute with an industry licensee played by Robin Rasor from the University of Michigan and current AUTM President. Ms. Rasor will also be represented by counsel and the mediator will facilitate this interactive workshop based on a real case from the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center.

“Alternate Dispute Resolution: Better, Cheaper, Faster?” Partner, Robert M. Gerstein, will speak on a panel addressing how to resolve intellectual property disputes, comparing and contrasting litigation, arbitration and mediation, as well as discussing new procedures for patent dispute resolution enacted as part of patent reform in the America Invents Act of 2011.
