Cox to Present on Medical Device Deal Structures at ACI’s 2013 Conference

Pamela L. Cox, chair of Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP’s IP Transactions Practice, will participate in a panel discussion entitled “What Shape Should My Deal Take? Exploring Traditional and Innovative Business Models to Get Best Value for the IP and Safeguard Company Objectives” during ACI’s Medical Device Agreements: M&A, Licensing, Co-Development and Collaborations conference at the Chicago-Mart Plaza (Riverview) in Chicago, November 19th-20th, 2013.

During the presentation, Ms. Cox and co-panelist Irina Erenburg, president of Sesko Innovations, will dissect a range of partnership arrangements to provide advice to medical-device business development and licensing professionals on new and time-tested ways to structure deals, the strategies to employ and complications to avoid.

For more than 18 years, Ms. Cox has concentrated on intellectual property transactions, protection and transfer. Her medical device experience began in-house at DePuy, Inc. (now a Johnson & Johnson company) as a microbiology analyst in regulatory affairs. Ms. Cox is one of 12 "highly recommended" for licensing in the U.S. and for several years has been honored as one of "The World’s Leading IP Patent and Technology Licensing Lawyers" by Intellectual Asset Management. She is also recommended by her peers as a "Leading Lawyer" by Leading Lawyers Network, a division of Law Bulletin Publishing Company.
