Lilian Ficht is a technical specialist with Marshall, Gerstein & Borun. She is involved in patent prosecution, with a particular emphasis in the software engineering industry. Ms. Ficht has provided prosecution support for major computer companies in both user and system software applications, including product, protocols, data management, security, performance and infrastructure. Additionally, Ms. Ficht has provided prosecution support for retail, process control and service industry companies, including product and business methods. She has also assisted with non-infringement searches and oppositions.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ficht served as a software engineer, architect, and developer for multi-processor cellular and land-based telephone switching products at AT&T Bell Laboratories. Later, she served as a technical supervisor and was responsible for managing software development and test groups in the creation of features for multi-processor cellular technologies.
Ms. Ficht is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). She received her M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with honors, with a concentration in Bioengineering.
