Anthony G. Sitko’s practice focuses on client counseling as it relates to developing and implementing business strategies for the protection and exploitation of intellectual property assets. Working directly with the executive, management and technical staffs, he is skilled in all areas of prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents and trademarks, in the negotiation and preparation of license agreements and related contracts and litigation.
His technical education is in mechanical and manufacturing systems engineering; however, his work also extends to encompass:
- Medical devices
- Medical diagnostics
- MEMS/Nano transducers and devices
- Electrical power distribution equipment and control
- Information/data management software
- Computer hardware and software
- Healthcare information management
- Automotive technologies including intelligent vehicle systems and zero emission and hybrid propulsion systems.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sitko was a patent attorney with Motorola, Inc., and an associate with the law firm of Harness, Dickey & Pierce, P.L.C.
Mr. Sitko graduated from Wayne State University Law School where he received his J.D. cum laude. While at Wayne State, he was an Associate Editor of the Wayne Law Review, and received the Furman Foundation Scholarship for ranking among the top three members of his first year class and the Ira P. Spoon Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law. Mr. Sitko obtained his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude, and his M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan.
