Influenced by an amalgamation of legal disciplines, Robert M. Gerstein leads a successful intellectual property legal practice throughout a 20-year career. Mr. Gerstein takes what he knows from prosecution, transactions, licensing and litigation to reach a client’s business goal. For clients in a wide range of industries, Robert M. Gerstein counsels on all aspects of intellectual property, negotiates patent and trademark agreements and provides legal opinions. The business savvy that put him on the Firm’s executive committee, along with his technical know-how from training as a nuclear engineer, enable him to deliver in-depth advice. Mr. Gerstein has worked at the Firm since 1988 and has been a partner since 1995. In 1988, he graduated from The University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, and received his B.S.E., with honors, in nuclear engineering from the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan in 1985.
