Kwanwoo Lee Presents on Intellectual Property Careers to Pre-Law Honors Society Students
Associate Kwanwoo Lee presented at a virtual event hosted by the University of Illinois Pre-Law Honors Society titled, "Careers in Intellectual Property," on March 3, 2022.
Kwanwoo, a registered patent attorney, addressed questions about the law school experience, shared guidance on an effective post-graduation job search and presented an introduction to intellectual property law. He also encouraged students with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees to consider careers in patent law and emphasized opportunities that non-STEM degrees can create for careers in trademark and copyright law.
Kwanwoo secures and protects intellectual property rights for Fortune 500 companies, universities and high-tech clients in the electrical and computer technology fields. He also has addressed law students at events presented by the Asian American Bar Association and in other forums, strengthening Marshall Gerstein's commitment to invest in a pipeline of diverse talent at the firm and within the legal profession.
The Pre-Law Honors Society provides educational programs for aspiring law students, including LSAT workshops, mock trials, law school trips, networking opportunities, and other initiatives.
