Marshall Gerstein Welcomes Ling Du, Ph.D. as New Associate

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP is pleased to welcome Associate Ling Du, Ph.D. to the firm’s Chemical Sciences practice group. Ling brings more than 25 years of experience in science and engineering, including a deep background in polymer engineering for which she holds a doctorate degree, and nearly five years of experience in intellectual property law.

Most recently, she served as an IP associate at K&L Gates LLP guiding clients through patent prosecution and patent licensing across a range of technical fields including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, nutritional food products, biotech, oil and gas, tire and rubber, and materials and nanoparticles. Previously, she spent 10 years at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a senior research engineer leading multiple research and development projects in creating functional polymers and other technologies to enhance the fuel efficiency and conductivity of tires.

She has secured 13 patents for her development work and been published multiple times in technical publications and books.
