Shannon Hughes Mastick Serves as Co-Panelist at Notre Dame Law School Webinar on How to Thrive in a Remote Working Environment as a Summer Associate

Associate Shannon Hughes Mastick will serve as a co-panelist for her law school alma mater, University of Notre Dame Law School, on a webinar detailing how to thrive in a remote working environment as a summer associate.

“How to Thrive in your Remote IP Summer Experience”

Shannon will be joined by co-panelists Veronica Canton, an ABA-IPL Young Lawyer Fellow, Steven Nyikos, General Counsel, Dayblink, and Michael Shepherd, Principal, Fish & Richardson,  to share advice on how to succeed in a remote working environment over the summer such as:

  • How to interface with partners while using videoconference platforms
  • How to stay in contact and network with others at the firm given social distancing and remote work
  • How to handle novel postponed deadlines involving IP work
  • How to communicate with firm clients

During her time at University of Notre Dame Law School, Shannon received a University of Notre Dame Law School Fellowship and the ABA-Bloomberg BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property Law. She also was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society and served as the production editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy. Additionally, Shannon participated in Notre Dame’s Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where she assisted clients in preparing patent and trademark applications.
