Patent Agent Alejandra Camacho will be a featured speaker at an upcoming Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) panel. Details on the session are below:

“Powering Careers: Hispanic Leadership, Empowerment & Growth” – September 8, 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM CST

To celebrate Hispanic heritage month, the panel will bring together Hispanic professionals and leaders from diverse STEM and professional backgrounds to share their career journeys, challenges, successes, and perspectives on leadership, representation, mentorship, and growth. The goal is to create an open conversation that empowers attendees to embrace their identity, pursue their goals, and help create opportunities for others.

Alejandra’s participation is a partnership effort between SHPE and the IP Committee of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI), to develop relationships among Hispanic STEM professionals. The event is intended to celebrate Hispanic excellence, strengthen the community, and inspire the next generation of Hispanic leaders to make an impact in their careers and beyond.

Dr. Alejandra Camacho is an accomplished professional with a robust academic background and a diverse career spanning cutting-edge roles in materials science, engineering, and business development. Graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Ph.D. and Master's in materials science & engineering, Alejandra has a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen. With a career marked by impactful contributions, Alejandra has excelled in diverse roles, from leading R&D initiatives to driving pipeline growth through marketing initiatives and sales and customer training.  Her tenure at consumer products and chemicals companies has been marked by pioneering research efforts and publications in multiple industry magazines. Dr. Camacho’s has been involved in several professional organizations throughout her career such as the Materials Research Society (MRS), Microscopy Society of America (MSA), WIB-Chicago chapter, and currently SHPE and HLAI. Alejandra currently serves as a member of the firm’s peer-elected Associates Committee.
