Partner Pam Cox will be a featured speaker at the Licensing Executives Society (LESI) Annual Conference in Singapore on April 28. The conference brings together key players in the technology licensing industry and businesses which are leading this digital transformation. LESI 2025 will be focused on IP and licensing strategies for building sustainable smart cities.
Joining Pam on the panel “Cross-Cultural Negotiations” is Linda Kawano (GroupOptima). The panel will explore how people of different countries negotiate based upon whether they have low or high context perspectives. Facilitated by additional moderators Ferzana Haq (HS Legal LLP) and Judith Miller (Wrays), the panel will lead the audience in paired negotiation role-play that highlights low and high context perspectives in cross-cultural communications.
As a patent attorney who has worked in-house, Pam Cox’s practice focuses on unraveling complex deal structures and devising creative agreement solutions as well as IP protection strategies and alternative dispute resolution for clients ranging from multinational corporations to non-profit institutions. A long-time active supporter of advancing the licensing profession and governance, Pam is Past Corporate Secretary and six-year Member of the Board of the Licensing Executive Society International (LESI), Co-Founder and Chair of the Women in Licensing Alliance (WILA), the former President of the Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc., and multi-term former Member of the Board, frequent invited international presenter and instructor including for AUTM, and an adjunct professor of Intellectual Property Licensing at Northwestern School of Law.
