Madrid, Spain

Partner and Chair of IP Transactions at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP, Pamela Cox, Co-Founder and Chair of Women in Licensing Alliance (WILA) will speak during the LESI 2024 Annual Conference.

Pam will join Adam Rattray of WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, John Ritter of Princeton University, Linda Kawano of GroupOptima, James Sobieraj of Crowell & Moring, Charles Valauskas of Valauskas Corder LLC, Eric Napoli of AirHelp and Carolina Pina of Telecom Garrigues to present a mock mediation between a university and a business in a patent, know-how and trademark license dispute. The session will cover key concepts and best practices for mediation and detail why mediation should be considered as part of any business’ dispute resolution policy. In Pam’s role as External Legal Counsel, she will assert that a license agreement was breached and infringes on trade secret and trademark rights. The dispute will be resolved through the WIPO Mediation process.

Pam together with Tatiana Campello of Demarest Advogados will moderate a thought-provoking panel discussion on the synergy between women and technology as part of the WILA Panel and Networking Event. Speakers Ana Amélia Araripe Montenegro of Braskem S.A., Ana García Poyo of Bitsphi Diagnosis and Claudia Silva Oliveira of Vale Holdings B.V. will share their experiences and lessons for female entrepreneurs. Pam will also present the WILA year in review specifically highlighting the speaker series, regional ambassadors and the mentor program headed by Judith Miller of Wrays Lawyers.

Pam was interviewed by LESI Executive Director Dana Robert Colarulli along with LESI Board of Director's Secretary Tatiana Campello to detail a preview of the WILA Panel and Networking Event
