Cox to Participate in Mock Mediation at the LES 2014 Mid-Year Meeting
Pamela L. Cox will participate in a mock mediation entitled, “Time and Cost-Effective Approaches to Resolving Technology Transfer Disputes” on Thursday, March 27, 2014, during the Licensing Executives Society (LES) 2014 Mid-Year Meeting in New York City.
In this popular interactive workshop, Ms. Cox will play the role of external counsel for a university director of licensing, played by John Ritter of Princeton University. The mock mediation, based on a real case from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center, aims to resolve a license dispute with an industry licensee, played by Robin Rasor of the University of Michigan. Ms. Rasor will be represented by external counsel, played by Charles Valauskas of Valauskas Corder LLC. Adam Rattray of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center will introduce the case study and participants, and Russell Levine of Kirkland and Ellis will facilitate the mediation.
