Pamela Cox, Chair of Marshall Gerstein’s IP Transactions practice, will speak on two panel presentations during the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) 2021 Annual Meeting, which will be held in a virtual format this year.
Pam joins John Ritter, Director, Office of Technology Licensing, Princeton University; Linda Kawano, Founder, GroupOptima; James R. Sobieraj, Shareholder, Brinks Gilson & Lione; and Charles C. Valauskas, Legal Counsel, Valauskas Corder LLC, to conduct a mock mediation under WIPO Mediation Rules. In addition to the mock mediation between a university and a business over a patent, know-how and trademark license dispute, the panel will present the essential features of mediation, ADR pros and cons compared with court litigation, the shift to virtually-conducted mediations and arbitrations, what to expect if you engage in a mediation and tips for participating in a mediation.
