Sintich to Present at PLI’s 2014 Advanced Patent Prosecution Workshop
Sharon M. Sintich, Ph.D., will present during biotechnology-specific sessions at the Practising Law Institute (PLI)’s Advanced Patent Prosecution Workshop 2014: Claim Drafting and Amendment Writing. The workshop will be held at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile on September 11–12, 2014. The advanced two-day workshop provides hands-on drafting experience under the guidance of experienced patent prosecutors. Working in technologically-distinct groups, participants will receive individualized feedback on claim drafting and amendment writing, while learning techniques for avoiding common pitfalls. At Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP, Dr. Sintich combines experience in all aspects of patent prosecution with technical insight gained from her graduate research in tumor cell biology. She also counsels clients in portfolio management, and provides opinions on patent validity, patent enforceability and freedom to operate issues. Dr. Sintich obtained her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. Previously, she earned a Ph.D. in tumor cell biology from Northwestern University and a B.S. in biology from Bradley University.
