Marshall Gerstein Announces Jonathan Hughley as Industrial & Mechanical Technologies Practice Group Chair
Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Jonathan Hughley has been named as chair of the firm’s Industrial & Mechanical Technologies Practice Group, which evaluates invention ownership, conducts due diligence, investigates patentability, prepares, files, and prosecutes patents, and investigates infringements for innovators across technologies, from manufacturing and energy exploration to medical devices and consumer goods. Jonathan will manage an interdisciplinary team of attorneys and professionals that advises clients from varying technological sectors on how to best protect their intellectual property. He succeeds Michael Furmanek, who successfully led the team for over a decade and remains a partner in the Practice Group.
Jonathan, a partner in Marshall Gerstein’s Chicago office, counsels clients on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications involving mechanical, electromechanical, and software technologies. His experience and technical background provide substantive knowledge in numerous technological areas.
