The partners will discuss opportunities for protecting green improvements to 3D printing technology, how to get the most out of a patent landscape search, protection strategies tailored to 3D printing, and a litigator’s perspective on prosecution strategies in the 3D printing space.

Mr. Chavka focuses his practice on patent law matters including patent procurement and portfolio management. He enjoys working on the cutting edge of technology and finds creative ways to protect the inventions of his clients. Mr. Chavka works closely with in-house counsel and managers, invention review committees, and inventors to evaluate new innovations, develop protection strategies, and implement those strategies throughout the world.

Ms. Duffy secures domestic and foreign patent rights for a variety of clients in the mechanical, electromechanical, consumer products, medical devices, e-commerce, and insurance services sectors. Ms. Duffy also provides opinions and counseling for many clients in these industries, helping them succeed by advance and protect their technologies through skillful patent preparation and prosecution.

Ms. Hartzell has significant experience working with inventors and corporations in the fields of consumer products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and internet technology. Ms. Hartzell handles all forms of intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation. She also has experience enforcing covenants not-to-compete and confidentiality agreements.
