Profiles in Diversity Journal Recognizes Jonathan Hughley with Inaugural Black Leaders Worth Watching Award
Recognized for his outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence, Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP is pleased to announce Profiles in Diversity Journal has named Partner Jonathan Hughley as one of its inaugural Black Leaders Worth Watching award recipients. The first class of Black Leaders Worth Watching award recipients features 54 individuals who have demonstrated remarkable success in their career fields and who have dedicated themselves to mentor tomorrow’s leaders. Along with his fellow award recipients, Jonathan’s abilities, commitment, and achievements will be showcased in Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Fall 2020 issue that is set to debut in late November.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has established himself as a leader by going above-and-beyond in all aspects of his work and community service. Inventors and in-house counsel rely on Jonathan’s experience and insights to assist them in developing appropriate patent strategies. He routinely exceeds expectations in his service to his clients and colleagues, taking a thorough approach to each patent application he writes and client he represents.
In addition to his intellectual property practice, Jonathan serves on Marshall Gerstein’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and Recruiting Committee, and prior to becoming a partner at the firm, he was the peer-elected chair of the firm’s Associates Committee. His leadership roles outside of the firm include serving as an Associate Board Member of The Chicago Committee for Advancing Minorities in Large Law Firms, an organization that seeks racial and ethnic diversity in the legal profession. Jonathan also frequently represents clients on a pro bono basis in conjunction with Chicago-area legal service providers.
