Partner and Chair of IP Transactions, Pamela Cox will serve as a panel moderator at the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) 2018 Annual Conference.

“The Current and Future State of Non-Profit Technology Transfer in the United States”

Ms. Cox will serve as panel moderator for a panel that includes Andrew Danielsen, Vice Chair of Licensing, Mayo Clinic Ventures; Claire Driscoll, Director of the Technology Transfer Office, National Human Genome Research Institute; Katharine Ku, Executive Director of the Office of Technology Licensing, Stanford University; and Lesley Millar-Nicholson, Director of MIT Technology Licensing Office, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The panel will speak on opportunities for performing the technology transfer function in an increasingly complex environment with ever-expanding responsibilities. The panel will focus on the U.S. non-profit technology transfer experience from the perspective of government and  research institutions. The panel will also discuss the role of industry and other key stakeholders and changes that might be made to technology transfer processes to support the demands anticipated in the next five to ten years.

Pamela Cox concentrates on counseling related to intellectual property transactions, protection, and transfer for clients ranging from multinational corporations to non-profit institutions. As a patent attorney who has managed intellectual property portfolios in-house, Ms. Cox understands her clients’ intellectual property and agreement needs, and remains passionately engaged until their strategic objectives are achieved. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Certified Licensing Professionals, she is an International Delegate for the Licensing Executive Society USA/Canada, Vice Chair of the External Relations Committee, Advisor to the Life Sciences Committee for LESI, and an Adjunct Professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker Law School.
