Crain’s Chicago Business Selects Two Marshall Gerstein Partners to ‘Rising Stars’ List
Marshall Gerstein partners Tiffany D. Gehrke and Jonathan Hughley earned spots on Crain’s Chicago Business “Notable Rising Stars in Law” list, which recognizes attorneys who have made significant impacts for clients and shown leadership in their law firms and the surrounding community.
Both Tiffany and Jonathan started their careers as engineers, gaining real-world experience that benefits the intellectual property boutique’s clients.
Tiffany’s recent accomplishments include clearing clients’ worldwide trademarks for key branding launches and preparing clients for major acquisitions or divestitures of their intellectual property assets. She is president-elect of the IP Law Association of Chicago and regularly provided free representation to incarcerated and indigent people, as well as nonprofits.
Jonathan recently earned the trust of one of the world’s largest consumer products companies, which asked him to help manage their patent portfolio and secure patents for their industry-leading innovations. He frequently speaks to undergraduates about patent law and mentors them as they grow into professionals. Jonathan also was elected to the firm’s associate committee and serves on its diversity, equity and inclusion committee.
Jeffrey S. Sharp, managing partner, said, “We’re proud that Crain’s Chicago Business confirmed what we already knew—that Tiffany and Jonathan exemplify the sophisticated IP work we do for the world’s most innovative businesses, research institutions, universities and entrepreneurs.”
