Marshall Gerstein Gives: Chicago Coalition for the Homeless

January 28, 2022

Marshall Gerstein Gives (MG2) has partnered with Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) to support its mission to prevent and end homelessness, a crisis affecting nearly 60,000 people in Chicago, Illinois.

Founded in 1980, CCH is the only non-profit organization in Illinois dedicated to advocating for public policies that aim to curb and, ultimately, end homelessness. To achieve this mission, the organization leads strategic campaigns, community outreach and public policy initiatives that target the lack of affordable housing in metropolitan Chicago and across Illinois. Additionally, CCH fosters broader access to public schools, job opportunities and support services, including healthcare. CCH’s community organizers, policy specialists and public interest attorneys advocate for individuals and families affected by homelessness, including mothers with children, students, unaccompanied youth, returning citizens and low-wage workers.
