Marshall Gerstein Gives: Northwest Community Healthcare Animal-Assisted Therapy

Marshall Gerstein Gives (MG²) has partnered with Northwest Community Healthcare (NHC) to sponsor its Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) program.

Since its inception in 2007, AAT has arranged more than 68,000 visits by volunteer teams of dogs and their owners to willing hospital patients. These visits help reduce patients’ stress, pain, anxiety and loneliness, promoting healing. The program’s 80-plus teams see more than 1,000 patients each month and assist with physical rehabilitation.
