Pamela Cox Named President Elect Elect by LESI

Marshall Gerstein is excited to announce that Partner and Chair of IP Transactions Pam Cox was named President Elect Elect of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI). Pam was awarded this honor in Singapore during the 2025 LESI Annual Conference.

In addition to providing training sessions and course instruction for LESI and LES USA/Canada, Pam’s leadership roles within LESI have included Corporate Secretary for the Board, International Delegate and Mentor for LES USA/Canada, Founder of LESI Life Science Advisory Board, former Vice-Chair of External Relations Committee, Chair of LESI Life Science Committee, Chair of the Chicago Chapter of LES, and member of the 3-year Planning Group. She also continues to serve as Chair of the Women in Licensing Alliance (WILA), which she co-founded in 2018.

As a patent attorney who has worked in-house, Pam Cox’s practice focuses on unraveling complex deal structures and devising creative agreement solutions as well as IP protection strategies and alternative dispute resolution for clients ranging from multinational corporations to non-profit institutions. Pam enjoys contributing to advancing the profession and has also served in executive leadership roles as Chairperson of the Board for Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc., founding Board member of the Global Healthcare Innovation Alliance Accelerator and the co-founder of the Licensing Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association. Additionally, Pam was a Member of the Board of the University Club of Chicago and is an Adjunct Professor of Intellectual Property Licensing at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law.

LESI is an association of 33 national and regional Member Societies comprised of men and women who have an interest in the transfer of technology or licensing of intellectual property rights—from technical know-how and patented inventions to software, copyright and trademarks.
