Donald Rupert will be joined by a general patent counsel and a VP of the American Arbitration Association to discuss alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as an alternative to IP litigation. In many situations, ADR can provide a private, prompt and cost effective procedure that is heard by a person or panel having relevant experience in the IP asset being considered. This workshop will include a discussion of how to draft an effective ADR clause (i.e., licensing agreements) as well as best practices when arbitrating an IP dispute.
The annual meeting will be held May 4–7, 2008 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers. For more information visit the meeting homepage.
