Pam Cox Named President-Elect of LESI

Marshall Gerstein is pleased to share that Chair of IP Transactions Pam Cox has been announced as President‑Elect of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI). Pam’s selection reflects her long‑standing leadership and involvement with LESI and the global licensing community, and she is excited to rejoin the Board and support the continuity of leadership.

Starting in LES 30 years ago, Pam’s leadership roles within LESI have included 3 years as Corporate Secretary, 5 years on the Board, 8 years as an International Delegate, Mentor for LES USA/Canada, and mentor in the Women in Licensing Alliance (WILA), which she co-founded in 2018 and Chaired until 2026, Founder of LESI Life Science Advisory Board, former Vice-Chair of External Relations Committee, 5 years as Chair of LESI Life Science Committee and Chair of the Chicago Chapter of LES. 

Pam Cox’s practice focuses on unraveling complex deal structures and devising creative agreement solutions as well as IP protection strategies and alternative dispute resolution for clients ranging from multinational corporations to non-profit institutions. As a patent attorney who started in-house doing technology transfer, Pam is an active supporter of advancing the licensing profession and governance, in addition to the roles in LES above, Pam is the former President of the Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc., multi-term former Member of the Boards of each organization, frequent invited international presenter and instructor, including for AUTM, and an adjunct professor at Northwestern School of Law.

LESI is an association of 33 national and regional Member Societies comprised of men and women who have an interest in the transfer of technology or licensing of intellectual property rights—from technical know-how and patented inventions to software, copyright and trademarks.
