Pamela Cox Receives Service Recognition from LESI
Pamela Cox was honored by Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) for her years of service on the LESI Board. Pam, Chair of IP Transactions at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP was awarded this honor in Montreal, Canada, during the LESI 2023 Annual Conference. In addition to providing training sessions and course instruction for LESI, and LES USA/Canada, Pam’s leadership roles within LESI have included two years as Corporate Secretary for the Board, seven years as an International Delegate for LES USA/Canada, Founder of LESI Life Science Advisory Board, and former Vice-Chair of External Relations Committee, Chair of LESI Life Science Committee and Chair of the Chicago Chapter of LES. She continues to serve as Chair of the Women in Licensing Alliance, which she co-founded in 2018.
Pam Cox concentrates on legal counseling related to intellectual property transactions, protection and transfer for clients ranging from multinational corporations to nonprofit institutions. Under her leadership, Marshall Gerstein’s IP transactions practice consistently ranks among the world’s best and was recently selected as one of only three firms in Illinois ranked “highly recommended” in Intellectual Asset Management Patent 1000: The World's Leading Patent Professionals.
She enjoys contributing to advancing the profession and has also served in executive leadership roles as Chairperson of the Board for Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc., founding Board member of the Global Healthcare Innovation Alliance Accelerator and the co-founder of the Licensing Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association. Additionally, Cox was a Member of the Board of the University Club of Chicago and is an Adjunct Professor teaching IP Licensing at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law.
LESI is an association of 33 national and regional Member Societies comprised of men and women who have an interest in the transfer of technology or licensing of intellectual property rights—from technical know-how and patented inventions to software, copyright and trademarks.
