Biography

Ria is a Patent Agent within Marshall Gerstein's Industrial & Mechanical Technologies Practice Group. She performs patent research and secures domestic and foreign intellectual property rights. She enjoys designing and prototyping with new technology allowing her to understand and guide Industrial & Mechanical clients' innovations. 

Ria's hobbies include fashion design, reading, and she is a trained Classical Hindustani singer.

Background and Credentials

Ria found that biomedical engineering allowed her to focus on her passions, biology, technology, and engineering. Ria obtained her M.S. in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University and she obtained her B.S. in biomedical engineering with a minor in legal studies from Northwestern University. Prior to joining Marshall Gerstein as a Patent Agent she served as an Intern within the Industrial & Mechanical Technologies Practice Group. Ria is fluent in English and Gujarati. Ria plans to start law school this year.
