In the context of intellectual property, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures (such as mediation and arbitration) can be particularly advantageous, especially for intellectual property related contractual disputes involving parties from different jurisdictions. This panel will conduct a mock mediation between a university and a business, followed by a presentation on the essential features of mediation, and ADR pros and cons compared with court litigation.
