Biography
Christian Morgan is Special Counsel in Marshall Gerstein's Trademark Practice Group. He counsels clients across a range of industries on trademark, copyright, and brand protection matters, combining extensive litigation experience with strategic, actionable advice on global trademark portfolio management and enforcement.
His litigation practice includes trademark and copyright infringement, counterfeiting, and multi-defendant Schedule A actions in federal court, as well as inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). He has managed all phases of litigation, from ex parte temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions through discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, settlement negotiations, and novel damages-related issues.
Beyond litigation, Christian advises clients on U.S. and international trademark clearance and filing strategies, brand development initiatives, and risk management. He regularly develops trademark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting programs for global brands, coordinates international protection efforts with foreign counsel, and advises on online enforcement issues, domain name disputes, and customs recordations.

Background and Credentials
Prior to joining Marshall Gerstein, Christian was a Senior Associate at Kucala Burgett Law LLC, where he led complex intellectual property litigation and trademark enforcement matters. Previously, he practiced at Baker McKenzie LLP, representing clients in trademark, copyright, and patent disputes and advising on intellectual property issues involving emerging technologies, including generative artificial intelligence. He began his career at Norvell IP, counseling clients on trademark clearance, brand development, enforcement, advertising, and licensing.
Christian also served as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, teaching Advanced Legal Writing for IP Litigation and Enforcement.
He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he was a Senior Editor of the Loyola University Chicago International Law Review and an Associate Editor of Annals of Health Law. He received a B.A. in psychology and Spanish, with High Distinction, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
