December 1, 2021
Webinar

Litigation partner Julianne Hartzell will be joining a panel to discuss IP enforcement activities with private marketplace entities in a live webinar for the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO).

Scheduled for Wednesday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. ET, the webinar will include an overview of the brand registration process, enforcement of design patents, and Amazon’s neutral patent evaluation procedure, a process implemented to help resolve disputes between sellers and patent owners.

Julianne will be joined by:

  • Monica Leenders, IP counsel for Koninklijke Philips N.V.;
  • Sanjiv Sarwate, senior legal director – trademarks for Dell Technologies; and,
  • Syed Fareed, IP attorney at Baker Botts, LLP.

Drawing on their collective knowledge and experience, the panel will also address motions for preliminary injunction, requests for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), and recent case law. Additionally, IPO’s live webinar format allows attendees to interact with panelists to receive real answers to their most pressing IP questions in real time.

To the conversation, Julianne brings significant experience in intellectual property litigation, including cases involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. She has obtained favorable judgements for patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, including one multi-million-dollar judgement from an online retailer selling counterfeit goods and a multi-million-dollar judgment in the first patent biosimilars case to go to trial. Her experience as lead counsel in numerous intellectual property disputes has helped her clients defend their valuable IP rights.

The webinar is free for IPO members. Non-members are also welcome and may register for an additional fee. Learn more and register for the webinar.
