Partner Ryan Phelan of Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP is slated to present during a collaborative event between the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) and Japan Patent Attorneys’ Association (JPAA) on February 17, 2021 to discuss patenting Artificial Intelligence (AI) inventions in Japan and the U.S.

The event will include a presentation about AI patents in Japan, a presentation about AI patents in the U.S., and a panel discussion to allow for questions and comments. A virtual networking session will immediately follow the seminar.
Moderated by Daryl Lim, professor of law at UIC/John Marshall Law School, and Patrick Burns, founding shareholder at Greer, Burns & Crain, Ryan will be joined by the following speakers:

Ryan Phelan leads the firm’s Artificial Intelligence industry group.
