Biography
Greta E. Noland builds and manages global patent portfolios for clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. As a component of her portfolio management, Greta counsels clients in interference and appeal proceedings in the United States and guides clients through opposition, appeal, conflict and revocation proceedings in other countries. She also frequently performs due diligence analyses for intellectual property transactions and public stock offerings.
By virtue of working for academic, not-for-profit, private and public entities, her advice encompasses many perspectives important for product life cycle management. Greta achieves clients’ goals by delivering creative, attentive service molded by thirty years of experience in the field.

- Successful oppositions against a series of European patents relating to CRISPR-Cas9 systems
- Successful appeal relating to lack of formal entitlement to priority of a European patent relating to CRISPR-Cas9 systems
- Prosecuting U.S. patents to chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) and their use in treating cancer
- Completing due diligence analyses for a client’s acquisition of a FDA-approved bone graft product
