Marshall Gerstein Managing Partner Jeff Sharp and Partner Tom Duston will be attending the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property’s (AIPPI) 2024 World Congress in Hangzhou, China from October 19-22.

The AIPPI World Congress is a global gathering that brings together IP experts, practitioners, and professionals from across the world. Attendees will experience a live Chinese patent infringement trial and hear from industry leaders on relevant topics like IP examination and protection in China and trademark use in pharmaceuticals.

Jeff Sharp is the Managing Partner of Marshall Gerstein. He has more than three decades of experience in patent prosecution, litigation, and transactional work within the biotechnology, chemistry, and chemical engineering industries. Outside of his practice, Jeff speaks on competitive and innovative strategies for mid-sized law firms and provides presentations on approaches to leading a successful law firm. He serves as a Board Member and was previously Board Chair for PilotLegis RPG, is a Board Member of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms, is a Trustee and previously Board Chair of The Latin School of Chicago and serves on the National Annual Giving Committee for Princeton University.

Tom Duston is a hands-on trial lawyer who focuses on patent litigation for some of the world's most sophisticated companies. With thirty years of experience, Tom has been lead counsel in more than 60 patent infringement matters in U.S. Federal courts. Tom is praised by clients and adversaries alike for both his creativity and tenacity as a trial attorney.
