Biography
Joey is an Associate within Marshall Gerstein's Electrical and Computer Technologies group. He assists in drafting and prosecuting patent applications and conducting examiner interviews for technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Background and Credentials
Joey obtained his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame in 2025. He also holds a B.A. in physics and computational math from Wabash College. While in school, Joey served as Executive Editor for the Journal of Emerging Technologies and was involved with College Mentors for Kids.
Joey joined Marshall Gerstein as a Summer Associate in 2024. Prior to his time at the firm, he worked as a prosecuting intern with the Hamilton County, Indiana Prosecutor’s Office and as a research assistant at Notre Dame’s Institute for Structure and Nuclear Astrophysics.
