Biography
With over 20 years of experience, Joshua T. Elliott focuses on patent law matters related to biochemistry and biotechnology, including advising and counseling clients on issues such as freedom-to-operate, infringement, validity, and design around strategies. His practice includes rendering opinions, conducting patent due diligence investigations, advising clients on patent portfolio strategies, strategically managing global patent portfolios, and preparing and prosecuting patent applications. Josh also has experience advising clients on due diligence issues related to potential investments, venture funding, and initial public offerings.

Background and Credentials
Josh earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Loren M. Berry Scholarship. During law school, he was a member of the University of Dayton Law Review. He graduated with a B.S. in chemistry on the biochemistry track, with Distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
Prior to attending law school, Josh was a field scientist with Research Triangle Institute.
