Biography

Julie brings more than a decade of patent prosecution and drafting experience as a Patent Agent within Marshall Gerstein's Industrial & Mechanical Technologies Practice Group. She develops patent portfolio strategies for domestic and foreign filings, provides freedom to operate and patentability assessments, and is experienced in design patent applications, PCT applications, provisional applications, office actions, and filing appeals with the Patent Board.

Background and Credentials

Julie has served as a Patent Agent for industries such as trucking, automotive manufacturing, and chemical manufacturing. Prior to becoming a Patent Agent, Julie was a Research Fellow at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where she conducted research investigating biocompatibility characteristics of titanium implants using surface chemistry and electrochemical techniques.
